The Sunday Paper

I take time every week to read the Sunday paper.  I guess it is a habit I inherited from my father.  We always stopped at the convenience store on the way home from church so that he could get his Sunday copy of The Palm Beach Post.  My mom grabbed the coupons and store inserts to see what was on sale in the coming week and I snagged the comics section.
Even though most news is available from many different media sources, I still enjoy spreading the newsprint out on the dining room table and taking time to read the articles that interest me.  There are some columnists that I never read, some that always make me mad and others that I skim over because they sometimes have a good thought or 2.
Other columnists, however, get read every week and sometimes even get the highest honor of any newspaper author: I rip out the article and pass it on to one of my children, a friend or other person I think might be interested in the topic.
I have ripped out and passed on more of Michelle Singletary's columns than any other columnist in the past year or so, and thought it would be fitting to give her some kudos on my blog.
So, if you want to add some good reading to your daily stack - via whatever media you choose - I recommend Michelle Singletary.
