Business Model Canvas Examples

While the Business Model Canvas cannot take the place of a traditional business plan, it is helpful for people who are more visually oriented.  If you like to sketch ideas on napkins or whiteboards, you will appreciate the BMC.

The BMC is helpful in considering your product/service/brand, evaluating your target markets and focusing on your total marketing effort.

The traditional business plan will include all of this in more detail - plus - information on the business, its history, its owners and the financial need/ask including a full set of financials and projections.

I will be copying various Business Model Canvas (BMC) Examples and Templates here.  These are the models I often use with clients.

The first image shows the order you should follow when filling out the BMC.

The previous image also contained prompting questions to help you fill out the BMC.  The next image offers some additional prompts.

The next 2 images show examples of the BMC.  The first is for a Lemonade Stand and the second is for a Lawn Care Service.

The last image is a blank BMC that you can use for your own enterprise.
